2025 Men's Awards Presented at the Club Dinner

On Friday 7th Nov we held our Club Dinner & Awards at the Mercure Hotel in Brighton. Nearly 90 people put on their 'glad rags' for our Black Tie event and had a fantastic time, with many sore heads the next morning !

The main Men's Award Winners were :

  • 1st XI Player of the Season : Bryce Hounsome
  • 2nd XI Player of the Season : Alec Scott
  • 3rd XI Player of the Season : Ejaz Shaik
  • 4th XI Player of the Season : Ryan Kanwar
  • 5th XI Player of the Season : Jon Howick
  • 6th XI Player of the Season : David Jena

Dick Roberts Trophy Junior Player of the Season : Ryan Kanwar - Ryan, an under 13's player, had a breakthrough first season in Adult cricket, scoring 42, 49 & 55 in his first 3 adult matches. He scored just shy of 1000 runs overall, with nearly 500 in adult cricket. His trophy was presented to his proud parents.
Derek Grammer Trophy Clubperson of the Season : Peter Davies - Peter is the ultimate club volunteer as he's always willing to take on any jobs that don’t have an owner. He carries them out without any fuss or complaints and makes them look easy, when everyone knows they are anything but. He currently fulfils 4 voluntary roles across the club including Girls Cricket Manager (despite not having a daughter playing any longer), Fixture Secretary, Mens 5th XI Captain & Gray Nicholls Kit Administrator.

In addition there were a number of special awards presented to the following :
