A deserved win for the under 12s in the first game of the season.

Well done to the Under 12s, who put in a great performance in an early start to the cricket season. Given that it was the first real game for 8 months, and the first time for many not playing in the pairs format, it was a really good team effort that saw us come away with a 7 wicket victory against a team that have given us problems in the past.
St Peters won the toss and batted first, but were hampered by a good all-round bowling performance and a slow outfield. After 10 overs they were 29 for 2, and were kept down to a total of 70 for 7 in their 20 overs by consistent bowling and some good fielding. Pick of our bowlers was James Harvey, with figures of 2 wickets for 0 runs in his 2 overs.
With Felix (20) and Alfie (25 ret.) we reached the required total in the 12th over, losing only 3 wickets.
Well done to all the team - a great start.
