An exciting game against our friends St Peters. Asked to bat first we made a solid start soaring into the 60s before the 10th over. Retirements from Leo and Alec gave our innings great momentum. The St Peter's bowlers bowled tightly and, while we had looked like passing 120 early on, it wasn't until Joe hit the last two balls of the innings for 4 that we felt we had a score that we were confident to defend (116 for 3). St Peters got off to a fast start and were ahead of us at the half way stage. Tight bowling from Connor, Alec, Louis and Samir pegged them back and they fell just 5 runs short of our total. A very exciting match and one which puts us level with St Peter's at the top of the A League, though we are behind on net run rate. Two more league games to go! Next week we play Portslade in the cup semi final. The game will be at The Neville starting 6 o'clock Tuesday. Come along and support us if you can make it.
