Under 12s vs. St. Matthias (home)

Put into bat on the west square, we made a slow but steady start against some good bowling. Felix held up one end as we gradually added to the total, but the bowling was straight and wickets were falling too fast for us to take control. After Felix retired on 27 (finishing with a 6), Dorian helped keep the score ticking over with some good running and then Fraser and Jacob ramped up the run rate in the last couple of overs, with Jacob hitting two 4s through the off side in a last over that added 15 to our score, to finish with 94 for 8.
After some powerful hitting from a couple of St Matthias batsmen, too many wides and some terrible fielding, 13 were needed to win off the last 3 overs. Matthew and Kyle, who finished with 2 for 3, then bowled excellently to see us over the line in the fading light.
