2014 league and cup winners too strong for under 12s

B&H won the toss and elected to bat. Ollie H struggled to get the ball away against some very quick bowling while Jack ground out a sterling 18. Kyle contributed a handsome 25 including three 4s before retiring and Aidan started well before being tricked by Bertie Foreman's spin for 9. Miles Addy then came back on to bowl two more overs taking two quick wickets at a cost of just one run. That slowed the run rate and despite one glorious 4 by Ollie G B&H could not get more than 84.

Some tight bowling by Aidan and Kyle in particular kept St James restricted to 40 off their first ten overs but when Dillon was caught by Alex off Jack's spin for 14 that brought Josh Everett to the wicket and he smashed 26 in no time at all (including 15 off one over by Kyle) to put St James firmly in control. With darkness creeping in they reached the target with more than 5 overs to spare.

For B&H Aidan was man of the match for his strong bowling and batting performance but particularly for his positive encouragement in the field.
